HONORING SISTER ROSEMARY E. JEFFRIES R.S.M.

Company
Georgian Court University, Lakewood, New Jersey
Scope
Georgian Court University is a private university founded and sponsored by Sisters of Mercy. After serving fourteen years as the President of the university, Sister Rosemary E. Jeffries R.S.M. is retiring in June of this year. To mark this event, Georgian Court University decided to create a book honoring Sister Rosemary’s many milestones and accomplishments. The book highlights the progress the university has made in the last fourteen years under her direction. Georgian Court University sought Hatteras to both design and print the book.
Deliverables
The final book is 12 pages + cover with a pocket on the inside back cover. The cover of the book is die-cut to frame the image of Sister Rosemary and foil stamped with matte gold and matte white. The inner pocket holds a letter and a remittance envelope. The letter explains the start of a new scholarship in Sister’s honor, and asks for donations from the university’s alumni, faculty, administrators and other supporters.

This project required a fast turnaround. To save time, Hatteras offered to design the project in-house. Originally, the front cover was intended to be gold foil stamped with white text printed. This would have added an additional step. By choosing white foil stamping over printing the white text, the cover was more efficiently executed. Hatteras was able to meet the time constraints while producing a quality piece by offering our expertise in operative production.
