When luxury skincare brand Tatcha set out to create a premium influencer mailer, the objective was clear: create a packaging experience that would captivate recipients before they even discovered what was inside.
Working closely with the client, Hatteras designed and produced a custom PR kit that looked and felt like an elegant hardcover book.
At first glance, it resembled a beautifully crafted coffee table book. Once opened, it revealed Tatcha skincare products presented with the same level of care and sophistication as the brand itself.
The result was more than creative packaging, it was an experience designed to surprise, delight, and inspire sharing.
The package needed to authentically replicate the appearance and feel of a hardcover book while securely housing multiple products for shipping. It also needed to reflect Tatcha’s luxury brand identity through premium materials, refined finishes, and exceptional craftsmanship, all while protecting the products and creating a memorable unboxing moment for influencers and media recipients.
Hatteras managed every stage of the project, from concepting, design and prototyping, through print production, specialty finishing, and assembly under one roof.

Our structural design team engineered a custom rigid box that perfectly replicated the proportions and functionality of a hardcover book. Multiple prototypes ensured the package was both visually striking and durable enough to protect its contents throughout shipping.
Using high-quality offset printing, every graphic element was reproduced with exceptional clarity and color consistency, ensuring the finished piece reflected Tatcha’s refined brand standards.
Luxury finishes transformed the package into a true keepsake. The combination of soft-touch laminate and foil blended a visual and tactile experience that invited recipients to interact with the package. Inside, custom foam inserts and a magnetic closure worked together to create a polished, intuitive unboxing experience that felt every bit as premium as the products themselves.
Each PR kit was meticulously hand assembled, inspected for quality, packed, and prepared for distribution, ensuring every recipient experienced the same flawless presentation upon arrival.
