As cannabis company LEVIA describes, their products are “for those seeking general wellness and responsible amusement.” LEVIA sells cannabis-infused drinks and tinctures across the country, using the finest products crafted with high-quality ingredients and a superior process.
The company set out to rebrand their packaging, and teamed up with Hatteras to produce their folding cartons for their Water Soluble Cannabis Tinctures.
LEVIA offers three different strains, each with its own brand color: “Achieve”, a Sativa strain branded in red; “Celebrate”, a Hybrid strain branded in green; and “Dream”, an Indica strain packaged with a striking purple. LEVIA’s goal for the rebranding of their packaging was to create something that was memorable and distinctive, while being functional and custom-designed around their particular tinctures.
After several rounds of prototypes during which different finishes and materials were considered, final production began. The packaging was made of an 18pt folding board that included a custom internal flap designed to secure the tincture. Covering the stunning design was a soft touch aqueous coating that gave the packaging an extra smooth texture. Each box also featured small accents of foil to highlight an element of the LEVIA logo.
Since LEVIA is sold in different states – each with their own packaging guidelines – multiple versions of the boxes needed to be produced. They were printed on Hatteras’ Heidelberg Speedmaster XL 106 Offset Press, and then went to our Heidelberg Diana Folder-Gluer before shipping out flat to the customer.
