McDonald’s × The Minecraft Movie

McDonald’s partnered with The Minecraft Movie on a blockbuster collaboration designed to capture global attention and energize fans ahead of the film’s release. With the campaign launching at McDonald’s Times Square flagship – one of the most visible retail locations in the world – the activation needed to be bold, immersive, and instantly recognizable. 

Working alongside LA/NYC-based Experiential Supply Co., Hatteras supported the transformation of the Times Square location with large-scale, Minecraft-themed graphics. Our role focused on producing high-impact printed graphics that brought the pixelated world of Minecraft into the real world right in the heart of Manhattan. 

 

From vivid colors to precise production, each element was designed to stop foot traffic, spark excitement, and enhance the overall experiential environment. 

 

Our team ensured the graphics met both the creative vision and the durability demands of the busy retail location. As a result, the Times Square transformation turned heads, amplified buzz around the McDonald’s × Minecraft Movie collaboration, and contributed to a campaign tied to a film now on track to gross $1 billion worldwide. The installation helped create a memorable brand moment one that blended entertainment, retail, and experiential design at scale. 

This project highlights Hatteras’ ability to seamlessly support large-scale brand collaborations, working behind the scenes to bring ambitious experiential concepts to life on time, on brand, and in the most demanding environments.
