A Fleet of Land Rover Vehicles – Wrapped and Ready for Competition
In September 2019, 53 teams competed in 53 identical 2020 Land Rover Discovery SUVs in the Land Rover TReK Regional Trial. Testing the mettle of both competitors and vehicles, this TReK included off-road driving events, navigation exercises and team challenges.
Established in 1996, Land Rover’s original TReK competition provided its retailer network with an exciting day of off-roading and friendly competition. After a 16-year hiatus, Land Rover TReK returned to Asheville, NC in September to celebrate the upcoming launch of its new 2020 Land Rover Defender. Fifty-three North American retailer teams were pitted against each other in identical 2020 Land Rover Discovery SUVs to test their off-roading, navigation and team collaboration skills. The winning teams will head to the TReK Finals held in January in Palm Springs, CA where they’ll compete in the new 2020 Land Rover Defender.

excitement of the highly customized off-road vehicles. They turned to Hatteras to help tackle this challenge.
In collaboration with Coyne and Land Rover, the Hatteras large format team was included in early planning, creating two rounds of prototypes in order to fine-tune the graphics for color matching and perfect fitting of the vehicles. Hatteras had a 4-person installation team on-site at Land Rover’s Headquarters, wrapping vehicles as they arrived from the factory. Each Discovery was personalized with the retailer’s name, state and team members, adding to the competitive spirit.
Similar to the Land Rover TReK competition itself, close collaboration was essential in delivering on the final vision – on time and within budget.
