Peter Thomas Roth is a clinical skin care line with a simple brand philosophy: “Breakthrough formulas. Astonishing results.” PTR originally started in 1993 when its creator, Peter, was looking for a formula that would help him with his own skin care needs. Today, the product line consists of a comprehensive range of over 100 products sold worldwide.
Peter Thomas Roth came to Hatteras looking to create a special way to introduce its new Water Drench® Hyaluronic Cloud Rich Barrier Moisturizer to its influencers. After some collaboration on design concepts and printing techniques, we set off to create a luxurious and innovative solution that accentuated the product while delivering a powerful unboxing experience for their influencers.
A new product launch meant a new packaging style. The main goal of this influencer kit was to create awareness for their new product and to find that “IT” factor to stand out from other beauty and skin care brands. After a little testing, Hatteras came up with a structural design that provided a unique reveal of the product while keeping it securely in place.
The outer box had some special features that enhanced the opening experience while reinforcing attributes of the product itself. A large die-cut droplet – centered across the gatefold opening and featuring the Peter Thomas Roth logo – was the first thing recipients saw. The entire printed surface had a soft touch coating, with a raised spot UV added to all of the droplets to make them stand out both visually and texturally. Finally, magnets were used to create a soft, secure close while elevating the overall experience.
Producing, assembling and shipping hundreds of influencer kits, Hatteras was honored to support Peter Thomas Roth with this exciting product launch, and we’re excited to see what other interesting and innovative concepts may come next.
